The Dillon Family Fund

This page was created to raise awareness for a family that is in constant need of love, support, and funding.  Brittany Dillon and her amazingly loving family discovered 10 months ago that she has Moyamoya Disease while she was pregnant with their third child Reagan.

Moyamoya Disease is an incredibly rare disease that affects about 1 in a million people. Moyamoya is a blood vessel disorder in which a ring of blood vessels at the base of the brain and the uppermost segments of the arteries supplying the brain progressively narrow, causing blood flow to the brain to become reduced. While pregnant last September, doctors discovered that Brittany had blood clots in her legs and an MRI confirmed the disease.  She was monitored closely throughout her pregnancy and after giving birth to their second daughter, she had an angiogram that showed a great deal of artery deterioration on both sides of her brain.  Over the next two months, Brittany underwent two brain surgeries, each a month apart, to repair the deteriorating arties on both sides of her brain all while having a newborn and two additional children at home to care for.

Up to this point, the Dillon's had already seen their share of obstacles.  Their son is now eleven years old and has Cerebral Palsy.  Easton, who is currently a major slugger in the Tuscarawas County Challenger Baseball League, had a brain surgery two years ago to help with his seizures.

Brittany works as a waitress at a restaurant in town and Patrick is an employee at an aluminum producing plant in Urichsville, Ohio. Brittany is unable to go back to work until she is cleared by the doctors.  Through enduring all of these obstacles, this family has grown stronger and even more loving.  They work tirelessly to provide for their children and to stay positive regardless of the medical bills that continue to pile up.  Brittany still receives iron infusions weekly and continues to battle with issues with the veins in her legs and high blood pressure.  She is scheduled for additional surgeries once her blood pressure improves.

This page was created by an old friend of Brittany's and an old teammate of Patrick's out of what he believes is a necessity to help pay for medical bills and show our love and support.  All or most families deal with health issues in a lifetime but when a family is hit this hard, it is up to all of us to step up and help out a loving family in their time of need.

The Dillon's are a humble family and deserve our continued love and donations.  Please keep Brittany, Patrick, Easton, Rylee, and Reagan in your constant prayers and thoughts. Please share this page with friends and family members - every little bit will help. Thank you for your support!
