Good Luck Charlie!

Charlie needs our help!  We are trying to raise money to help with the urgent and unexpected medical needs of this precious girl and her family. Any funds not used will be donated to another child with medical needs.

Here is a post from her dad that explains why she needs our help!

Jess and I want to thank everybody that has texted, messaged, called, came to visit and most importantly prayed. As most of you know, we were vacationing in Destin when Charlie stepped off of a step in the pool and went under for a second before she was grabbed. She was perfectly fine and showed no signs of swallowing any water. After reading about dry drowning on the internet, we decided Monday night to take her to the ER just to be safe. So thankful we did! After a che...st xray, the ER doctor ordered a CT scan of her chest and it revealed a tumor/mass on her upper chest wall. They transported us to Scottish Rite Children's hospital here in Atlanta via ambulance early tuesday. When we arrived, they were waiting on us, doctor immediately came in spoke to us about the tumor and next steps. (Jess and I were and still are in shock) 2 more xrays were taken Tuesday evening along with blood work and all came back normal. On Wednesday, they sedated her and took 3 more CT scans of: her pelvis, her stomach and her chest, which revealed again only the one tumor. The plan today was to take a biopsy of the tumor, but after a long meeting and reviewing the CT scans, the doctors decided to go in one time and remove the tumor as well as her 2nd rib, which is where they believe the tumor generated from. The tumor is the size of a baseball and is a Major surgery for our baby. The doctors believe it to be cancerous but they also believe they can remove all of it. Charlie is very strong, so much stronger than me and momma. We ask all of you to continue to pray for our baby and for God to wrap his hands around our baby girl. We will be admitted back to the hospital next Wednesday and the surgery will take place Thursday morning. It will last around four hours and she will be in ICU for a few days after the surgery to be monitored closely. Once the tumor is removed, pathology will examine it to determine if it is or is not cancerous and will advise us of our next steps. They plan for us to be in the hospital for around a week. Please continue to pray for all of us, especially Charlie Kate.
