M.S. Therapy Dog for Elysia and Tasha

Donation protected
On 3/1/13, the love of my life, Tasha, went missing. While I was in a MRI in order to determine the number and severity of lesions on my brain due to MS, Tasha was being walked by a family friend. My mother was waiting for me in the hospital, because I was scared out of my mind from this newly diagnosed disease. When I came out of the MRI, I saw a look on my mother's face and I knew instantly that something had happened to my beloved fur-baby, my only daughter, my dog had slipped out of her harness and was hit by a car. The car ride back home was a blur, but I do remember thinking 'I can not live without my dog'.
This was not an exaggeration, and it still isn't. My MS effects me in several ways, the constant, mind numbing pain,  compromised immune system, and my left hand that has become completely useless because it has curled up and is immobile. The one symptom that I have a chance of changing is my fatigue. It is so extreme, and I get unbelievably frustrated with a body that doesn't want to work that I end up just sobbing for hours. It is with my disability that Tasha was my perfect companion and she truly was a service dog. In order for me to combat my fatigue, I need to exercise, and no matter how tired I was, for Tasha I could do anything, and I know with a new companion I will get my will to fight and my happiness back!
The search for Tasha will continue for as long as I live, but my life with M.S. and without a dog is no life at all!! In order to successfully survive, and live a happy life with my disease, I need a four legged companion to motivate and push me, just like Tasha did, to exercise every day and to find the joy in life again. I have been putting off bringing home a new therapy dog purely because of the cost, when a good friend suggested the web site Go Fund Me to raise the necessary money. I hope that everyone who has devoted time, energy and emotional support to finding Tasha, will help me to bring home a companion for myself, and God willing, a fur-sibling for my Tasha as well.
Sending everyone my love and thanks!
