My name is Devon Tikili. I am a member of a small Maryland based family of friends, who go by MD57. Saturday July 26, 2014. My best friends, who I consider my brothers (MD57) and I decided "Hey, Let's go to the beach". On our way to Sandy Point State Park, my brother Klint (Snak) hit a rough patch of road on Route 50 on his CBR 929 motorcycle. The bike began to wobble side to side and picked up speed. As we helplessly watched Snak try to regain control of the bike, THE WORST HAPPENED. The bike clipped the guardrail, sending Snak into and over the guardrail, flipped, and became airborne before what was left on the 929 landed in the middle of the busy highway. I immediately stopped the car and we all ran to the crash site crying out for our brother. Emergency personnel got to the scene shortly thereafter. We had already removed the helmet and opened the vest, after realizing he was still conscious. They had to land the chopper on the highway and fly him to University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore City, Baltimore, Maryland. Upon speeding to the hospital in hopes that our fallen brother was alright, we encounter a waiting room that wouldn’t allow us any information on the condition of Snak. We had to call his brother and plead with the nurses to speak with him for consent to operate. Hours after they told us they would not take consent over the phone, they took it over the phone. They couldn’t save them, so they amputated both legs. Snak is lying in a bed right now at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. We all know how hard it is to lose someone, but we haven’t lost Snak. Please pray for God’s hand on him, his healing power and his peace on my brothers and I. Also for strength during these troubling times. We ask of readers to please find it in your hearts to donate whatever you can, whether it be monetary or prayer.
