I'm Greg's sister.( Greg and Heather, I know how humble you are and may not really want me to do this but....There are people who do want to help you) July 26, 2014 Greg heard his neighbors smoke detector going off. While he went to assist her he had grabbed one of the pots that was on the stove that was on fire to get it out of the house after smothering it, while getting to the door the flames ignited and burned his hand and he dropped the pot which spilled onto the porch and he slipped in it. When he stood back up his toes, feet, shins, and hip had been burned. 2nd and 3rd degree burns to his feet and toes. ( at the time he did not realize the pot contained grease) he is at Maine medical now. Will be having skin grafting done to both feet on 7/29. He will be put in leg immobilizers. He will be in the hospital for a bit longer 5 days a least they are saying for now. I did not put a goal on this as anything will help. His wife and his daughter live a bit over 3 hours away and it would help a lot if they could stay in the portland area close to the hospital. The hospital has some hotels that offer great discounted rates for families. These funds will also help Greg and his family with cost of living while he is out of work.
