My name is Mel Shrieves and I am a good, local friend of Samantha's in Puyallup, Washington.
Our dear friend Samantha Field, tragically lost her life on 03/13/18, at the hands of her husband. He also cut short the lives of her two beautiful babies, Ava, her 4-year-old daughter, and Ashen, her 2-year-old son.
Sam was a passionate and devoted mom who loved her kids and family. Her friends will remember her as someone who worked hard at keeping her family happy and healthy, despite the complications and hardships that came with her marriage. She gave her all for her beloved babies.
This fund has been established as it has come to light among Sam’s friends that, because of a recent switch in beneficiaries on her husband’s life insurance, and because of his own suicide following the murder of his family, there is a possibility that her family may not receive any money to help Sam’s family take care of the burial expenses. In this intense time of such grief, this family should not also have to carry the financial burden of such tragedy.
I am sending the funds to Samantha's intimidate family in New Hampshire to pay for funeral expenses and other costly expenses that will be associated with this tragedy. I have been in direct contact with both families to offer any additional help, but having worked in finance for 10 years i have seen first hand how financially devastating unexpected life events can be for families. Due to the nature of this tragedy, my hope is that we will be able to help ease the financial impact for the funeral costs so they are able to focus on their family & be able to grieve with out stressing on how to provide the proper funeral that Samantha & her children are deserving of. The funds will be distributed to Tom Reardon, Samantha's dad, who has been given withdrawal access to this account as a beneficiary.
