I Just want to feel a little normal that is what my wife Cleta Kitts tells me every day she feels like she is a burden on every one she has lost the ability to walk and now she is loosing her ability to talk. She said she wishes she could take a shower just like normal people but she can't get in shower because her wheelchair won't fit and bathroom to small for her to get in shower that is why the bathroom needs to be remodeled
A diagnosis of ALS is devastating news for patients and their family. Dealing with the extensive costs associated with any chronic illness only adds additional burden and stress. Some care is covered by a patient’s health insurance but some costs are not considered customary or reasonable, or not approved by some carriers. In a recent study called the economic impact of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis: a systematic review by Matthew Gladman, and Lorne Zinman found that “costs associated with ALS were greater than other neurological diseases.”[1] Another abstract indicated that there are few published reports on the cost of ALS care in the United States, but wanted to so examine those costs and identified strategies to assist patients with these expenses. The study: Financial cost of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis: A case study March 2015 concluded that:my   wife of 35 years has ALS a condition that there is no cure for and will kill her in 2 to 5 years It has already robbed her of walking. she has always been active in church and helping others she was always on the go doing her wood working and crafts now she cant get in bed by herself or shower by herself. I cant afford to get the things she needs, need to remodel the bathroom need to remove the tub and put a walk in shower now she cant get her wheelchair in there and she feels so embarrassed when me and our son has to get her in the shower. she said her kids should never have to see there mother naked. i'm
'disabled and numb on my left side and it is very hard for me to take care for her but i will never give up on her. I  iwill be very grate full for any donations to help her life to be a little easier for her and the time she has left i will be very gratfull if you can share this to others. she needs to take a drug that can help slow als but it cost over a thousand dollers a month witch i cant afford and insurance wont pay for so if you can help it would be  appreciated so if you can let's see if we can make her feel a little normal
