Phase I - Mission Trip Funds!

Donation protected
HEY WE DID IT !! ... But this was only the beginning, check out what's next. Phase II - Mission Training Program

We are raising funds for a mission trip to the Dominican Republic. I (Andy) took my son (Jeremy, 16) on his first mission trip 6 years ago to the exact same place, on the exact same dates... it just so happens that my Daughter (Regan) will be the exact same age (10) and has an oppertunity to go in October 2014.

The village we are traveling to is called Cercadillio and originated from Haitian refugees living in the Dominican Republic. It is estimated that 800 people live in the village, the majority of which are extremely poor. With no running water and very little electricity, the lives of those in Cercadillo stand in sharp contrast to the wealthy of Santo Domingo. These villigers have very little reasources, get very little assistance, and are all but not even recognized as existing by their Government.

Our team is going down to build a multi-family bathroom and work with the villigers to teach them ways of helping improve thier skills and further their ability to support themselves.

Regan and I are not sure where we are going to help out yet, but entertaining the dozens of kids and doing some general chores around the village may be the best spot for us!

A SPECIAL NOTE: Regan is unlike most kids; as an example, a few years back she wrote a letter to the tooth fairy to request that her tooth money be given to a child without food or toys, she constantly asks about ways that she can help others, and is always the last person to get anything becasue she wants to make sure everyone else is okay first. She does all of this without ever really being shown or told to and never asks for anything in return. In the past I have been fortunate enough to fund my own mission work with the help of a few private donors, but currently I am in a rough spot and trying really hard to make this happen for her.

ANY help would be greatly appriciated!
ANY amount we achieve over our goal will be given directly to the Village Projects and/or used to support other Missionaries.
