HBCU College Tour

This event all started with an idea to take my kids to a Battle of the Bands HBCU college event that will be happening in Atlanta, Georgia on
January 25th. However, I work at a inner city High school and when I arrived to work the following day after seeing the event and deciding to go, I looked around at several kids that I have built relationships with and thought about how the exposure will motivate them as well. 

I work around many kids who should be graduating this year but
unfortunately they aren’t for various reasons. When I talk to these kids I get a feeling that they have very low belief in themselves and that others think low of them as well. I want to change the narrative but I
need some help! I want to turn this trip for my kids and I into a community event where I will select a few kids from the high school that I work at to go with us.  While in Atlanta I also would like to take these students
on a college tour exposing them to the culture of some of the finest
HBCU'S in the United States.
