Emergency Surgery For Heman

On Friday night my sons dog Heman was struck by a car while my son was at work. Animal Control took Heman to a emergency vet in San Diego in grave condition. Heman needs surgery for a fractured pelvis, the estimated cost is $4000- $6000. Care within the first 24 hours has passed $2000, the first $1300 of that has been paid.
While my son was at work Friday night Heman left the yard through a patio gate that ajoined my sons patio which had been left open by a visitor and he tunneled his way under the fence. The animal Control Officer phoned my son at work after Heman was hit.
There is no internal bleeding as determined on Sat but the dog is in desperate need of surgery to repair his pelvic bones. He cannot move his back legs. Imagine if this was your dog, how horrid it would be for you. We take our duty as dog owners seriously, we treat them no differently than we would treat our children.
My son is a full time student, Military Vet and works part time, he does not have the money to finance the surgery, he has applied for credit care but the credit limit has been greatly exceeded without the surgery cost. I have helped him with what I can but have had expenses at home with an sick poodle of my own. None of us live large and money is extremely tight.
The plan is to get Heman transferred to another vet (away from the costly emergency vet) and have the surgery performed on Monday or Tuesday, I know that things are tight for everyone but if you could find it in your heart to donate even just a little, $1, $5 even $10 will help Heman get back to his little self.
