On July 23rd, our beloved father, Ridha, was found unconscious after hours of not responding. Earlier that day, he sounded confused — we thought he was just tired. But it was far worse: he had suffered a ruptured cerebral aneurysm, a life-threatening condition that needed immediate surgery.

At the first hospital, doctors misdiagnosed him and gave him aspirin, worsening the bleeding in his brain. By the time we got to a second hospital, precious hours had been lost. The public system couldn’t help — most neurosurgeons were away, and the one available wasn’t specialized. Our only option was a private clinic, but they refused to admit him to ICU without advance payment. Even after raising 20,000 dinars, they still said no — until public pressure and media involvement forced them to accept him.

On July 24th, Ridha finally underwent emergency brain surgery. He’s now in the ICU — stable, but still in critical condition. He’s uninsured, and each day in intensive care is pushing us further into debt, we're looking at 70,000 up until today.

Even now, in moments of confusion, he tries to make us laugh. That’s who Ridha is — full of warmth, humor, and strength. He has always been there for others. Now, we’re asking for help to be there for him.
