Help Kathleen Kearns Beat Cancer!

Many of you know and some of you don't, that Kathleen Kearns has been diagnosed with HER2+ (pronounced her two positive) cancer. Last year, her friends and neighbors generously rallied around and started a GoFundMe campaign to help Kathleen with her expenses. Kathleen was unaware this extreme generosity and mobilization of friends and neighbors were underway until she started receiving phone calls and notes from people she has known throughout her life.
Like many creatives, Kathleen does not have comprehensive health care coverage. A high deductible must be met each year and only the allowed treatments are covered after a co-payment is paid. While she manages dealing with treatments and cruel side-effects, Kathleen continues to run her design & marketing practice. She needs the funds to meet her high deductible and to pay for all of the treatments including those that are not covered by insurance at all.
Many of you know, and some of you don't; that Kathleen has been a tireless advocate for health care equity for decades. She has a particular passion for the creative community; which is the community where she and her daughter, Kaitlyn work, live, thrive, and contribute.
This last year of isolation has demonstrated how important the arts and creativity are to living a full life; a life of health and wholeness. It's helped many of us get through a trying time.
We, Kathleen's creative cohorts, are launching this new campaign to continue to help Kathleen manage expenses while she heals. The creative community eagerly wants to provide support. Kathleen insists that any benefit not only helps her but be used to support the greater creative community by advocating health care equity for all. We are ready to lead that charge and build upon Kathleen's good work.
