Katrina Hadock is currently an LPN at St Joseph's Hospital. She has been married to her husband, Justin, since 2014. In 2016 they were blessed with their beautiful daughter, Sienna.  A couple of months ago Katrina got a cold, while she recovered from the cold she was left with a lingering cough. Upon insistance from her husband she finally went to the doctor. She had a chest xray. Her lungs were clear but her heart was enlarged. Her primary doctor sent her to have an echo done on heart. From that point on everything in her life quickly came crashing down. During the echo they discovered that she had a blood clot in her heart. She was quickly admitted to the hospital. They performed a heart catherization. There were no blockages in the arteries but the news wasn't all good. Katrina has been diagnosed with dialated Cardiomyopathy. EF of 15%, which in basic English means her heart is only functioning at about 20%. Cardiomyopathy is a disease of the heart muscle that makes it harder for your heart to pump blood to the rest of your body. Cardiomyopathy can lead to heart failure. Treatment includes medications, surgically implanted devices or, in severe cases, a heart transplant. Currently she is being treated with medications.  During her treatment and recovery she will be unable to work for the next 6 to 12 weeks, maybe longer. There will be multiple prescriptions, doctor visits and procedures that need to be done. These medical expenses will accumulate quickly. Katrina carries the family medical insurance and while she is out of work they will have to pay the insurance premium out of pocket. Katrina is a very proud person and hates to ask for anyone's help. So I am here asking all of you to please consider helping this precious family with the medical expenses they are incurring during this time.
