Elizabeth's Ride to Conquer Cancer

This October, I am joining in the Ride to Conquer Cancer - cycling 200ks in 2 days to raise money for the Peter Mac Cancer Centre.
The money will be used to continue Peter Mac's research into cancer to find better ways to treat people with cancer, and eventually defeat it altogether.
The inspiration for my particpation in this event is the loss of my son, Simon, to colon cancer. I want to do my bit so that one day we can have a world where young (and old) people do not have to die from this horrible disease.
Unfortunately, since losing Simon, cancer still raises its ugly head in my family - this year we lost my daughter's kids other grandma - to cancer. She was my age. And Penelope, Simon's cousin (born 3 days after him!) is being treated at...yep, Peter Mac..so the fight goes on. And this is just my family.
So thanks to those who have donated to help Peter Mac fight the good fight. Ride on!
