Finnan's Surgery
Donation protected
On December 2nd, I was outside with our 5 month old border collie pup, Finnan, doing some training. He heard a car and as all border collie's do, he listened to his instincts and ran towards it, trying to herd it. Luckily he didn't lose his life. He has a few open fractures in his right hind leg that needs to be repaired, plus some lacerations on his right front leg that need to be stitched up. He is currently on heavy meds to deal with the pain and has a splint on his hind leg and bandage on his front. He's had xrays done of course but after surgery will need follow up xrays. The cost of the surgery was estimated to be up to $2500 plus tax. There's also a bill of $1000 from the vet he's currently at for the pain meds, xrays, hospital stay, examination and stitches for his lacerations.
Unfortunately I don't have pet insurance and don't qualify for petcard as I am currently on maternity leave. With being on maternity leave plus christmas and my oldest daughters 4th birthday just a few days before I just don't have the money for my poor guys surgery Any help is greatly appreciated. Any money left over after all the costs from the vet will be donated to a rescue or another family in need.
