Matthew's Medical Fund

Matthew has had his right leg amputated below the knee and possibly may need the left leg also amputated, depending on how well it heals. The amputation(s) was necessary due to the diabetic abscesses on both of his feet. His insurance currently covers almost nothing, which is why he ended up with the infected abscesses in the first place. His insurance didn't cover prescriptions at all and he couldn't afford them. 
Matthew is going to be hospitalized for another week (at least), where he will be released to a skilled care facility for rehabilitation for quite awhile.  After this, he needs to search for an apartment which is handicapped accessible. 
Matthew is going to be off of work for many months and it is unknown right now when he will be able to return. He will need to be using a prosthesis before he can return to work and that will take quite awhile.
