Help My Dad (Dan) Fight Cancer

My father was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer.  It started as a loss of appetite and upset stomach, and he was told he had a "stomach bug."  After a few weeks, he was told it may be appendicitis.  Next thing we knew, he had a tumor, but biopsy showed it was benign.  The doctor was SURE it was benign and once it was removed my dad would be in the clear.  My dad was elated to hear the word benign.

Then things took a turn for the worse.  While in surgery it was discovered that it was not benign, and had spread throughout his abdominal cavity.  He has stage 4 colon cancer.

Despite all of these ups and downs, my dad has been extremely positive and is currently undergoing treatment.  We are all incredibly optimistic, and want my dad to continue treatment.  His job provides short term disability pay and he has medical insurance, but his disability pay will run out soon and it's more important than ever that he is able to eat, have a comfortable place to rest, and has money for out of pocket medical expenses.
