Dear family and friends,
Some of you may have heard that I am starting a new foundation with the mission to bring comfort to the home of cancer patients and their families. One's home is more than just a place to live -- it is a place where one feels secured and sheltered. Home is a place where things are predictable and imaginative. Home is a sanctuary that provides an escape from the outside world.
Coming home after a cancer treatment is very likely a much anticipated and welcoming moment for a patient and its family, but the home can also become a burden.
I decided to center C4C's attention on the home, this indispensable place where one can find comfort in a time of chaos. This is the motivation behind C4C and I hope that, little by little, we can bring a smile in every home of families touched by cancer. I am surrounding myself with people who know far more than I do, and who all have the desire to bring a little bit of comfort to someone who needs it. We are starting C4C with the simple idea of providing families with a clean home, free of charge, for when a cancer patient returns home from a hospital stay following cancer treatment. The funds will help me get the foundation of the ground, finalize the 501c3 status and hopefully finance us for the rest of the year so we can provide hundreds of free home cleaning to family in need. We hope to have our first families on board in the summer!
We hope to grow into other areas where the home is central in the future as well. We shall see where our journey takes us.
