I would like to introduce you to our very special niece. Haley is 20 years old and has just been diagnosed with cancer. Haley loves horses, dogs (well… really all animals) and is one of the best photographers we know. Haley is a kind, loving, sweet girl with many talents. Here is a note from her wonderful parents.
"Christmas in 1993 was undoubtedly my best ever. I received the most precious and amazing gift in the World and I got to open it five days early! Haley Ann Spears was born at about 9:30 on December 2oth. I recall being overwhelmed when nurses handed this beautiful, fragile piece of creation to me so quickly after she was born! It was at that moment I realized and accepted the charge of being the best daddy I could be for this little gift from my Lord.
Haley has been the gift that just keeps on giving! Mine and her Mother's lives have been blessed to see her grow and blossom into an astounding person. Haley is a master of everything she sets out to do. She maintains a rich integrity and shows compassion and acceptance to all of God's people for what they are.
Haley's Mom lost her job over two years ago and with just my income, we had to ask Haley to try to help out financially. She created jobs for herself doing everything from farm sitting to dog training. She also used her award winning photography talent to start a small business of her own. Her work has been published on TV, magazines and newspapers! Haley also has a deep passion for horses (well, all animals really!) and is an amazing cowgirl - she has been riding and training horses for most of her life. The walls of her room are covered in beautiful ribbons and trophies she has won. Haley just never ceases to amaze her mother and I - beating the odds is just something she does!
Now Haley faces the biggest challenge of her life as she has been diagnosed with cancer. Like with all of the other challenges, I believe that with God's help she can beat the odds again! Please help us in our battle by becoming a Warrior for Haley! We firmly believe in the healing power of God and need prayers and support.
As a horse show Dad I say "Let's git er done!" God is on our side!
