HELP! We have an unusual affliction- Marching Band Growth Disorder. Symptoms include, but are not limited to, instrument shortages, lack of guard equipment, bloated trailers, geriatric transportation, dwindling usable uniforms, and a severe lack of cash flow.
We are in need of instruments, guard equipment and a new (well, used) truck to put it all in! Like most arts programs around the country, ours is severely underfunded and our program has been growing at an exceptional rate (about 15-20% per year for the past four years). And while we are happy with the growth, it has presented some unique challenges. That is where you come in!
The only known cure for Marching Band Growth Disorder is money and while our boosters have done a valiant job in aquiring the funds necessary to keep us afloat so far, there is a widening budget gap that this growth is causing.
So if you can find it in your heart to provide us with a cure to Marching Band Growth Disorder we would be eternally grateful and you can live your life knowing that there will be one less child having to play air tuba or spinning an imaginary flag. Even $1 helps and I think everyone has $1 in change floating around their house!
We will be posting regular updates as to how your donations are affecting our program and remember that anything you donate is tax deductable! (At least in the United States. We don't know what the law is on international donations).
