On Dec. 7th 2017 our father Charles (Charlie) Williams had a seizure while at home preparing for his work day. Our mother Sherry Williams found him unresponsive on the bathroom floor and called 911. As the day progressed we learned he had a 3cm brain tumor. That day changed our lives to an extent that is undetermined at this time. On Dec. 8th we already had a consult with a neurosurgeon and by Dec.12th we went for a second opinion. Ultimately the consensus is the tumor has to go and we will see after that.
Dad had to make the hard decision to drop his health coverage several years ago due to the inflation in health care premiums. Our mother has had several health issues over the past several years and hasn’t been able to work. Dad made the decision to pay for her coverage over his own. Obviously this came out of nowhere and with no health insiurance the hospital bills will be very costly. Due to the generosity of our loving family Mom and Dad both have health care coverage starting January 2018 for that month, at the cost of 2000.00/ month.
Dad is to have brain surgery in the first week of 2018 to remove the tumor and we are very blessed for that. We pray for great news after the surgery and that we will not have to continue this journey. At this point we are not calling it cancer but Dr.Nanda thinks it could be.
We humbly and gratefully come to Go Fund Me to request donations for our Wonderful Husband, Great Father, and Awesome Grandfather’s recovery. Please join us in helping Dad get back to being the family provider he has always been for mom, his sons, grandchildren, and his whole family. We as family are doing all we can only to know this is bigger than we are financially. Our lord will take care of dad. He led us to it and he will see us through it, this I know.
