Mayra Lemus: My Story/Mi historia


Thank you so much for your continued prayers, emails, texts, and your support. It makes it so much easier for our family to go through this challenge with all of the support of our family and friends.

Muchas gracias por sus oraciones continuas, correos electrónicos, textos y el apoyo de todos nuestros familiares y amigos. Esto hace que para mi y mi familia nos sea mas facil este reto.

Hi my name is Mayra Lemus. I am 30 years old this September 2014. I am currently under agressive Leukemia treatment. The process of going through this disease has been really hard for me and my family. I have 3 beautiful young daughters and a husband that have been supporting me all this time along with other family member and friends. Sometimes I have to be admitted in the hospital for several days and these are days when I don't get to see them and it brakes my heart not to be able to see my little girls.

I am currently waiting to find a compatible marrow donor so I can get a transplant ASAP. I have nine brothers and sisters (and other people) but none of them have been found compatible.

Financially we are struggling due to the many medical and household bills we have and we need to also raise money to get the neccesary funds for my transplant. I have hope and faith in God that I will be able to overcome this challenge.

Hola, mi nombre es Mayra Lemus. Este Septiembre del 2014 cumplo 30 anos. Actualmente me encuentro bajo un agresivo tratamiento de Leucemia. El proceso de esta enfermedad ha sido muy dificil para mi y mi familia. Tengo 3 hermosas hijas y un esposo que me han estado apoyando todo este tiempo junto con otros familiares y amigos.

En ocaciones he tenido que ser internada en el hospital por varios dias y me rompe el corazon no poder ver a mis pequenas.

Estoy en espera de un donador de medula osea para poder hacer un transplante lo MAS PRONTO POSIBLE. Tengo nueve hermanos y hermanas (y otras personas) pero ninguno es compatible.

Economicamente estamos batallando porque tenemos muchos cobros medicos mas los cobros de vivienda y al mismo tiempo estamos tratando de recaudar los fondos necesarios para poder pagar el transplante. Tengo mucha esperanza y fe en Dios que pueda superar este reto.

De antemano les doy las gracias por toda su ayuda y apoyo y por las muchas oraciones de todos ustedes.

The last 4 years I was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and was very hard for me that I was 4 months pregnant was a process with great difficulty that I could not take my needed medications because of pregnancy, when I gave birth to my baby left in a situation had very bad because intervene me with chemotherapies and that has been very painful for me to have to be sometimes for more than 3 months and be on blood transfusions for a long time and also putting me platelets and chemotherapy, and having a husband and 3 girls I hope asking when I go back home its really hard not to see my daughters i am sometimes very frustrated by everything that happens with me, I am now waiting for a marrow transplant because my family are not compatible I need searching for other people to help me with the transplant but it is very costly expensive and have many bills to pay, so I have hope that I will get win goal of raising the necessary funds to pay for my transplant and pay all my bills I have faith that I will achieve / / ....
