Complete Bachelors Degree

If you know me, then you know how important the work I do with Off The Streets is to my life.  In 2013, while delivering items from our OTS warehouse, Jean and I met and connected with Thomas Sengeh. We stayed in touch as he worked a steady job, went to class in the evenings and online and diligently worked toward finishing his bachelor’s degree. He even found time to participate and work in humanitarian agencies. He did all of this despite growing up in war-torn Sierra Leone, where he had been kidnapped at 9 years old, and has had to contend with the effect of war atrocities alongside adjusting to life in the U.S. without his family.

Thomas was on the verge of completing, with only 3 credits remaining, the requirements for graduating from Elizabethtown College when his life became more complicated.  Thomas got married, welcomed his daughter into this world and now is working 2 jobs just to make ends meet but his focus is still on getting a degree that will provide a better life for him and his family.

With our help, I am hoping Thomas has the opportunity to finish his requirement for his bachelor's degree and take advantage of opportunities such as a business training role with Coca Cola in Atlanta. Thank you for helping with this life changing event for a worthy individual and his family.
