Cancer bills

Donation protected
On April 25th of this year I was diagnosed with colon cancer. Being a US Navy Veteran, 1976-80 and the sole proprietor of a small furniture restoration business, "Fine Finishes" I find it economical to use the Veteran's Administration for my health care needs.
I've always been in good health so long term care was never an issue until now. I will be needing surgery to remove the cancer which means they will be removing part of my colon and from what I'm told, part of my rectum. Afterward I will not be allowed to move furniture or lift heavy objects for about 6 weeks, maybe more. What that means is I won't have any income. I don't carry insurance for my care or have any surviving family that might be of financial assistance. The poor economy of years past didn't do my credit any favors either so I have nothing to fall back on.
At the time of my diagnosis I was doing quite a bit of work for a company in Alexandria Va who when I informed them of my situation, pulled the rug out from under me and stopped using my services. This has left me with very little work. I'm doing my best to obtain work but I just lost 80% of my business at a time I need it most. This hasn't helped.
I'm asking for 15,000 but I might be a little conservative on that. Already I'm falling behind on my bills and I'm still going through tests. They also want to start chemo and I have no idea how that will effect me. Right now I have to swallow my pride and ask for your help, anything is better than nothing when you have everything to lose.
God Bless and Thank You,  Rob
