Help Kim get a wheelchair accessible van

Kim is 37 years old. She was born with Rett syndrome and does not have control of her arms and legs. She also is mute and has a rod in her back due to having surgery for severe scoliosis. Kim is confined to a wheelchair. Kim's mother, Karen, is 59 and still works outside of the home as a waitress. Karen is also a heart patient and sufferers from planters fasciitis. Kim attends a day program so she is able to socialize with other adults with conditions similar to hers. Kim has several caregivers that take care of her in the evenings and on weekends, but her activity outside of the home is limited because her chair doesn't fit into their cars. It is also difficult for Karen to lift her in and out their current van. Kim is usually propped on pillows and it is not as safe as it could be if the van were made to accommodate her properly.  Karen has researched the cost of used vans to accommodate Kim's needs. They are approximately $23,000. This van would allow Kim to have a much nicer life outside of the home and also allow her to safely travel to see her family in California, Missouri, and Mississippi.
