Let me introduce to my little boy Cove aged 18 months.

Cove was born 16th July 2023 and was later diagnosed with a neurological disorder Moebius syndrome. Moebius syndrome is a rare non progressive disorder that affects the 6th and 7th cranial nerve. From this Cove has the inability to smile & make any facial expressions. He cannot chew or swallow so he is peg fed, he’s got moderate hearing loss, hypotonia, epileptic, developmental delay and still under investigation for several other things.

But due to all coves problems he is a very happy little boy who is loved by so many people. He’s just started the opportunity centre in Colford and has been going to the James Hopkins trust in Gloucester.

Cove is now at the age where a normal cot is no longer suitable for him. Due to his hypotonia it is getting very difficult to safely manage cove. A cot provided by the NHS is not at all suitable and doesn’t meet his needs. After trying to fight for the correct one I am not getting anywhere due to funding being an issue. To purchase the cot will be around 3500 which is well beyond my means. So I have set up a fund me page to try and raise as much funding possible to be able to purchase a cot for little Cove.
