We Need Your Help!

Hi,  my name is Christa Blanchard-Tobin, I am happily married to Jason Tobin. In December of 2010 Jason was diagnosed with a brain tumor that was connected to his brain by a mere 5%. Jason then had surgery in January of 2011 and recovered well. Everyone was very optimistic that this was the end of this tumor. Earlier this year we found out that the tumor was growing again but we were not sure of anything until the surgery happened. This surgery was ten times harder on Jason mentally and physically, simple words that he could always say weren't so easy anymore. Things we take for granted wasn't easy for him to do. Thursday of last week is when our worst nightmare happened, we went into the Cross Cancer Institute and we were given the news that the tumor grew back bigger and faster than before and it is now a grade three which means Jason has to have an aggressive Radiation and Chemo treatment that will last Monday to Friday for six whole weeks. Then he needs to continue the Chemo for the next six months or more. The doctors cannot be 100% sure of getting rid of this thing for one and for all and they are not even sure if he will need more then the initial six weeks of radiation, but we are hopeful! We were then told that this would mean that we would have to stay in Edmonton as this treatment is not offered in Fort McMurray where we live. Everyone who knows us, knows that there is nothing that we wouldn't do for anyone in their hour of need, but unfortunately this has become our hour of need. With your donations it would mean that everything that comes with living in Edmonton for six weeks would make life a little easier for Jason and I. Thanks to everyone that has our backs!! I know I can never thank you enough. Jason has to be in Edmonton starting August 5th for his six week treatment, I will be sure to keep everyone updated.
