With Help from You, His Dream Comes True

On September 27th, my Grandfather, Pruitt Lee, will be honored at the Louisville-Winston County, Mississippi Airport with a building memorial in his name. He is thrilled about this, we all are. On September 13th of this year, he will be 93 years old. Granddaddy was a B17 Pilot with the 8th Air Force during WWII, is a Recipient of the Purple Heart, the Distinguished Flying Cross, and the Air Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters. He flew many missions from England into Germany, once shot down near Belgium. We are asking for any donations in the hopes of a B17 plane, like my grandfathers, to be flown in and on display the day of the dedication. My Grandfather is completely unaware of this possibility and I can only imagine how honored and touched he would be. From the time I was a child, Grandaddy has talked about his planes and WWII. To have a B17 Bomber there that day to show not only his children, but grandchildren, and great grandchildren is beyond his wildest dreams. Obviously, the cost of flying such a fragile plane from Texas to Mississippi is an exhorbatant cost. We are asking for any amount in helping us to give him the best belated Birthday gift ever.
