Donation protected
Benjamin Heath Parr was born the son of Bradley Steven Parr and Kimra LeAnne (Lee) Parr on June 3, 1996 at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He passed from this earthly life at the age of 18 on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at OU Medical Center, after being in a single car accident on Sunday, July 20, 2014. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma, Pastor Kim Hayes officiating.Ben (2) (169x300)

Ben attended grade school through the 5th grade at Ninnekah, Oklahoma. He transferred to Amber-Pocasset in the 6th grade and had just graduated high school from Am-Po on May 22, 2014. Ben loved to play baseball, go fishing, play golf and hang out with his friends. He loved to pump iron and work outside. At the time of his death he was employed at Winter Creek Golf & Country Club working on the golf course.

Ben accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was 7 years old, on the 7th month on the 7th day of the month. When asked by his mother on 7/7/14 what he was doing to grow spiritually he replied that he was praying more. He joins, in Heaven, his maternal great grandfather, Louie Walker, paternal grandfather, Riley Parr and paternal great-grandparents, Elmer and Ellav Parr and Charles and Jewel Askins.

Ben is survived by his parents, Brad and Kimra Parr of the home; sister and brother-in-law, Shantel and Scott Turner of Cement, Oklahoma. Maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Marjorie Lee of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, maternal great-grandmother, Juanita Walker of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, aunt and uncle Shelle and Michael Miller, cousins Nolan and Jake Miller of Chickasha, Oklahoma. Paternal grandmother, Faye George of Chickasha, Oklahoma , uncle and aunt Scott and Paula Parr of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends; especially gratefully for his paternal great-uncle and great-aunt Donald and Sheryl West of Verden, Oklahoma.

The family is grateful to the Grady County Sheriff’s department, the Chickasha Fire Station, Chickasha EMS, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Life Flight and everyone else who worked the accident scene and participated in Ben’s transfer to Oklahoma City; to the doctors and nurses at OU Medical Center; to all of these for the dedicated care of Ben while he was in each of their hands. We are also profoundly grateful for the spiritual comfort of our church family and friends; especially Pastor Kim Hayes and wife Shirley, Brother Dave Brinkman and wife Pam, Youth Pastor Michael Thompson and wife Lori, Pastor Steve Volante and Pastor Bill Patterson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Benjamin H. Parr Support Trust at any Mid-First Bank.

Interment will be in Ninnekah Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Brad and Kim There are no words to express our sorrow for what happened to Ben. Ben was loved by so many and we can only imagine how hard it is to lose him. Our thoughts and prayers have been of you today and we continue to pray that His peace will bring lasting healing to you and your family. We continue to pray that your faith, which has given so much encouragement will continue in the hope we share. 1 Corinthians 15

It is with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes that I write this post. Benjamin went to be with Jesus this morning around 2am. We asked God for a miracle and He gave Ben the eternal kind that only He can give. Ben is no longer hurting. He's no longer hooked up to a bunch of machines. He is in the arms of Jesus our Lord and Savior. Though my heart is breaking I am so thankful to know that one day I'll see him again! That is Gods promise to us! That if we believe that He is Lord and that He sent his only Son to die on a cross for our sins and ask him to come into our heats and save us that we too shall be in heaven with Him.

Thank you all for praying for Ben. He had prayers going up for him from all over the world! And God answered. Thank you for the gifts, visits, calls, texts, emails Thank you!! Thank you to all the sweet kids that came up each day just to sit around a waiting room. You were all such a blessing! I ask that you pray for comfort and peace for our family.

I will post on here again when I know when the service will be held.

"The Lord is on my side; I will not fear, What can man do to me?" Psalms 118:6

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7
