Dear Friends, On Monday, July 21, Joseph Guerra was killed in a car accident. Joe was my brother-in-law, married to my sister Karin. As you can imagine we are devistated over the loss of our Joe. He was an amazing man who left a legacy of unconditional love and selflessness. We loved having him as a part of our family. He loved Karin with an unwaivering love, and he adored her three girls as his own daughters. His loss has left our hearts broken.
Joe loved my sister with his whole heart, and he accepted and loved her daughters, Victoria, Daphne and Lucia, as if they were his own. He was loved and well known in his community for coaching girls softball, a game in which both Victoria and Daphne play. Joe also loved attending many footballs games in support of their star cheer leader, Lucia. He loved being their dad, and took pride in their accomplishment. If you knew Joe, you'd know he was a huge Star Wars fan. He was a great guy that many people loved and loved to be around.
Joe was the provider for their family. Please consider donating to the Guerra family for the variety of expenses that arise in these circumstances. There is some insurance money, but it will not go far enough. Karin will need help with the memorial expenses. Joe's paycheck has stopped, and there isn't much cushion there, if any, for living expenses. None of us ever really plan to lose the love of our life. The car that Joe was driving when involved in the accident was the only vehicle they had. They will need to buy a car. As you can see, these expenses have added up quickly.
