Medical Bills for Liver Transplant

My name is Tiphanie Vizecky.  I am 24 years old.  I have a very rare, but serious, genetic disease called familial amyloidosis, which means my liver produces mutated proteins which collect on my internal organs & cause irreversible damage to them, eventually deeming them useless.  There is no known cure for this disease at the moment.  I was diagnosed by a genetic test on January 1st, 2013.  (Not a very happy way to start off the new year)  I opted to do the genetic test after my mother was diagnosed with the disease 2 years prior.  Her grandmother & aunt also had familial amyloidosis, so it runs like wildfire in this family, as "rare" as they claim it is.  I have had to jump through so many hoops & go through many tests (some very painful) to see how far along I am in the disease.  I have been dating an amazing man named Dave for the past 3 years.  He has done so much to help out with this when he could just turn & run the opposite direction, which I think most would do.  He has done everything to get me on his insurance through work.  I could never ask for anyone better.  Amyloidosis will cause me to have many hospitalizations &/or surgeries, be out of work, need many medications & possibly need in home medical care. This is very expensive & frustrating & we do not know where to turn, other than a fundraiser, as embarassing as that is.  This is very stressful to my boyfriend & myself, but he is so wonderful & has gone through so much.  We just need help right now to get through the financial part of this.  We are both working as much as we can, but still just cannot pull this off on our own.  I really, really hate asking people for help, especially with money.  But, whether it's $1 or $100 or anything in between you can donate, anything helps.  Or if you could even share this & someone who can help would see it, that is always great, too.  I am very sorry to ask.  But we are running out of options.  We are very thankful for anything anybody can do & there is no way to fully repay you for your random act of kindness.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.  Much love.
