Jeff's Medical Expenses

On Thursday, July 17th 2014, Jeff felt weakness in his hands while he was at work and he was admitted... into the hospital. They did testing and he was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome. It is very rare and came on very suddenly. They later moved him into ICU so that they could monitor him more closely. He had movement and could roll himself in bed at first, but by Friday night he woke up in the middle of the night and could not move. Needless to say, he was very frightened and Rachael has been by his side helping him. His breathing has become worse in the past few days and they are monitoring him more closely. He cannot move his legs or arms so needs total assistance. He can move his thumb around and his shoulders, but has full sensory in all of his extremities. He went through IVIG treatment for a couple days and we hope to see results in the next 5 to 7 days. Recovery could take months and it is a very difficult time for both Jeff and Rachael.
