In need of $$ in order to have surgery

After many months of suffering my dear hubby finally bit the bullet, so to say, and went to see a doctor at the University of Kentucky Surgery Clinic. His fears were confirmed, he needs surgery and he needs it soon! Surgery has been scheduled for August 18, 2014. He will also need another surgery maybe in September...basically let him recoup from one before we put his body through another one. We do not have insurance but the hospital has told us we can make arrangements on a payment schedule. Bless them. :)
The immediate problem is the need for the cash to pay for the Lovenox injections that he must have prior to and after each surgery. You see, he has had two previous blood clots and is currently being medicated with a blood thinner called Coumadin. He's been taking this for 10 plus years and has been fine until this latest problem popped up. He's a little embarrassed having me describe it but, take my word for it...he is in pain and only surgery will help.
The Lovenox injections are very expensive! He'll need 28 of them in all. I priced them at quite a few pharmacies and the best price that I can come up with is $1,248 for 14 injections...that times two comes to $2, 496 in cash...money we do not have. He must have the injections in order to have the surgery, so even being able to make arrangements to pay for that won't help unless we can pay, in cash, for the injections in advance.
My hubby is a dear man and I have to tell you that the pain is making him kinda grumpy because he can't work our small farm like he used to. He has a hard time blending his wonderful herb seasonings...yes, we have a small herb seasoning blend business. But, his health has taken its toll on that and on our farmers market participation. :(
The timing of this request for help is so important because he needs to start the injections on the 15th of August in order to go through with the surgery. We both would be most appreciative of any support that you can give. Our herb blends are great and we'd be more than happy to send you some in return for your kindness.
