Jane Washington Memorial Fund

Jane Washington… a wife, mom, daughter, sibling, friend, and colleague gone way too soon.

It’s impossible to adequately describe Jane. She was so many things to so many people. She had no idea her profound impact on the lives she touched.

Jane was a workhorse who loved, cared for, and provided for her children tirelessly. On top of that, she was committed to her parents, family, friends, and job.

Jane was lighthearted and super fun! She brought joy wherever she was. Talk about lighting up a room!

She loved decorating and taking care of her home. She loved being frugal and never passed a good yard sale. She was the original American Picker!

She was a Social Worker by education and that spilled over into her entire life. She lived a life of giving - to young women who were homeless and abused, to teens in crisis, to pre-school children, and to the elderly in their final days. She provided genuine comfort and care to everyone she encountered.

Unfortunately, there was no provision for her funeral expenses, and we know it was her desire to equip her children for their futures.

In an effort to honor Jane and her goals, we have created a trust to be used to cover her funeral expenses as well as for the benefit of her children Katie & Graham. The trust is dedicated to the health, education, maintenance, and support of her children who are just entering college.

It would be a beautiful gift to support these kids through their college years and set them up for success in their adult lives which will sadly not include their mother.
