If you are reading this, we want to thank you profusely from the start as this pulls every day at our heart strings.
We are attempting to access/lease/buy a specialty pool that already exists and functions perfectly but has not been in use for several months. The pool is a specialty pool designed to allow access for all persons with any and every specialty need. From babies to geriatrics,any person who has the need to be in warmer water (92 degrees), warm compressed air, and easy access (there are ramps, gentle leveled steps, a side for actual swim therapy/lessons) this is the pool for them.
There are no warm water public pools in the state of Utah and there are hundreds of persons and children who need access to a public specialty pool. Children/Adults with Cerebral Palsy, Vanishing White Matter, Muscular Dystrophy, Arthritis, Traumatic Brain Injury, Autism, Spina Bifida and more - all the disabilities that prevent them from accessing typical public pools because of the water temperatures.
We will offer adaptive aquatics, trained staff, lessons/therapy and access to the freedoms that warmer water with specialty trained staff can offer.
Daily, there is a child, an adult, who needs the warmer water environment that allows them freedoms that they cannot otherwise experience. And to be with their families in a public pool like other typical families, to share in life long recreation venue and for that time and space be "typical" in a world that often has them confined to chairs and beds. We need help to allow this dream to reach fruition and become a reality. This need is great and we hope that you , who are reading our story, can help us and if ever you come to Salt Lake City, you will find your name written on a tile on the Thank You Wall in the pool area for all to see and appreciate.
