Help India Fight Covid-19

(French version of the fundraiser:

Hello everyone,

If you've read the news, you will know that since early April India has seen an unprecedented number of covid cases that have completely overwhelmed the health sector and resulted in a number of shortages including access to beds in hospitals, remesdevir injections and oxygen. Many families have already lost loved ones to or know someone who is currently ill.

With the pandemic not yet reaching its peak, the situation on the ground is likely to worsen, especially in West Bengal where elections and rallies have been held. The effects of the pandemic have also been accompanied by soaring unemployment rates, which have made access to treatment unaffordable for the vast majority of the population.

We have created this fundraiser to collect money that will be redistributed to non-profit organizations and individuals with Covid in West Bengal and Rajasthan (services are distributed to all Covid patients regardless of their religious affiliation). Over time, the list of NGOs here below will grow as the organizers ensure they are trustworthy and process donations transparently.

In Bengal:

-Jamat e Islami Hind (ils distribuent de l'oxygène gratuit aux patients covid). Contact: Khalid Iqbal (9051832211) / Ahmed Farooq (9831272902) / Azam Hossain Khan (9002534659) / Javed Khan (9163255142). -West Bengal Doctor's Forum. Contact: Punyabrata Goon (9830922194)

In Rajasthan:

-Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (they distribute Covid kits to disadvantaged social groups).

In the case of direct money transfers to people with covid, documentation and evidence will be required from the individuals concerned (positive test, proof of hospitalization, photos). A WhatsApp group has been created for information sharing (following is the group link):
