Spay and Neuter Strays

My name is Donnell Houx. I am a Speech-Language Pathologist and a lover of life.

I work on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. I also rescue strays animals and help people on the Rez with food and animal care. My organization is Skye Blue Animal Sanctuary and Rescue. We have a farm site that we are working on and our goal is to be in our new home by the end of next summer. The most important thing I can do at this point in time is help with spay and neuter and vaccinations. This is needed immediately.

My eventual goal is to have a sustaiable farm that offers summer and training programs for local youth to learn animal care and organic gardening for sustainability. I hope to have scholarship programs for the reservation youth for Vet tech and Vet degrees to help with the lack of services for the Rez.

I believe in service to the planet, to humanity and to all life. This is my life's purpose.

I am living my dream......and it will happen.
