The fight continues!!!

On Tuesday, Novemver 18, 2014, my dear husband was diagnosed with liver cancer that had metastasized from somewhere else in his body.   He had had pain for a few days and had finally had enough.  He decided to go to the ER with what we both thought was a gallbladder attack.  CT scan showed  a few spots on his liver that looked like cancer.

Later that Tuesday, a CT guided biopsy was done to take biopsies from the liver to determine if they were cancerous or benign.  A full day of waiting and finally the results came back positive that Thursday.

On Friday, Steve had upper and lower GI scopes to determine the primary source of the cancer.  It was discovered that he had a partially obstructing mass in his large intestine.  Later Friday, he was rolled back for surgery to remove the mass from his colon.  

The surgery was a success and he was healing fine.  He was released on Monday, November 24, 2014.  The healing process was slow at home, but progress was being made.  On Sunday, he became diaphoretic, and violently ill.  He was taken, by ambulance, to the hospital where he was diagnosed with an ileus.  

I have missed a lot of work, thank god that I work for an amazing  company that is understanding of my situation.  Steve has missed work, for obvious reasons.  Our finances are taking a beating, we still have bills.  We will be faced with bills for treatment/hospitalization/surgery/medication.

Steve will get through this, Steve will beat this.  We have a great support system of friends and family, sending prayers and keeping us upbeat.  We just need some financial help to get us through this difficult time.  If you can help, it will be greatly appreciated.  And if you can't, keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
