Timmy was dragged behind a truck and ended up at Miami Dade fighting for his life. After his stray hold, when no owner came, he was scheduled to be put to sleep for the extent of his injuries.
With great teamwork from many rescues, we were able to place a hold on him and he took his freedom ride last night!
Even with injuries, like I have never seen before, his spirits were high as he trotted out of the shelter and jumped in the HALO van before I could fully get the doors open.
Florida Veterinary League offered their help and at 9 this morning Timmy began his healing journey.
Your donations will go towards Timmy’s care. He is hospitalized and receiving high doses of antibiotics and pain medication. He is also starting medicated baths and on Wednesday will go into surgery to remove all the dead tissue. Skin grafts will also be done as he further heals.
While Timmy has had a hard road, his soul is not broken. I trust his healing will be remarkable and HALO will make sure he is protected for the rest of his life.
