Better to Ask for Help than be Homeless

Donation protected
Hello everyone. As some of you may know, as of August 8th, 2014, I will have been out of work for a year. My unemployment benefits were cut off back at the end of February, with no possible extensions due. I have been profoundly fortunate and more than deeply appreciative to a few friends and family, over the past several months, who have been able to allow me to continue to survive and continue to look for work, keep a roof over my head and food in my stomach.
But the end of the proverbial rope is near. Those few friends who have been able to help are themselves now stretched thin. I continue to look for work, and do get interviews here and there, but nothing has materialized for me, yet. I have even started looking outside California for work, but the reality at the moment is I would not be able to move even if I did get a position somewhere. I have sold what I have so far that was of any value. Rent is coming, my utility bills are over-due and I am pretty much running out of food. (And for those wondering, yes I did apply for food stamps, but was denied because I could not prove I would be able to pay my rent from month to month. The unemployment had been cut off and they wanted a legal affidavit singed by someone who would be responsible for paying my rent. Ain't that a pisser?)
I am seeking money to either continue my current living status and search for work, so I can continue living in LA, or, I would be willing to replocate to somewhere there might be a job and home for me. Please understand that any monies sent to me will be used to cover and take care of back-debt, current debt and future debt, such as rent and utilities and food. My set goal of $4,000 will take care of all outstanding dues and cover me for expensies to live for the next 3 months. It could also cover all back debt and allow me to relocate, if it comes down to that.
Please do not misconstrue my request for help as a sign of giving up or defeat. I continue to fight daily, deeply rooting my conviction in my faith, mustering up the "Never be defeated" attitude.
But if you never ask, the answer will always be "no".
