One year left! Help Jong finish school!
Hey, my name is Jong Yoon and I am going to be a senior at Biola University! I am a Christian Ministries major and have a huge heart to develop and send out young leaders both missionaly and locally. I want to see Jesus famous missionaly in Asia and the middle east! And to develop young leaders locally, especially young men who have grown up without fathers or any kind of good male role models. I believe God has called me to help restore biblical manhood and see young men thrive in right and healthy relationships with women. This education at Biola has been unbelievably life-giving and I would love to finish out here and maybe even get my MA one day in Spiritual Counseling.
There have been some unfortunate circumstances and trials (story found in link below) in my life that make me unable to pay for school / receive any kind of government help /loans so I have been fundraising my entire way through school these last two years! It has been an incredible journey filled with devestating heart-aches, and unbelievable joy. I have always been someone who has provided for myself and depended myself so letting go of my pride and asking for help has been such a humbling journey. So far by the grace of God, I have raised $87,000 for my first two years at Biola (I transferred) and I have one year left to go!
When it comes to fundraising, I do whatever it takes, selling items, putting on events and auctions, setting up little thrift-stores, garage sales, poker tournaments with friends, entering video contests, but the biggest blessing has always been from those I've never even met who donate anonymously after hearing my story. I am so honored and privileged that so many have invested in my story.

After talking with my financial counselors, we came to the conclusion that this would be the hardest semester to fundraise for, mainly because I feel like I have exhausted all of my resources and people have already given way beyond anything I could have ever imagined! So setting up this website is another step of faith, in me saying that I cannot do this on my own and in humility asking for help, hoping this story would spread and that there might be new donors who want to come alongside me! Though our culture today says that asking for help is a sign of weakness, I see it as a beautiful opportunity to display God's strength. He has always been faithful to me and provides through beautiful people like you. All I need to do is to keep trusting Him. I believe He will see me through. Almost every semester, He provides, most of the times during the last minute, like my 2nd semester of my first year, God provided $14,000 in donations in 20 minutes on the day I was about to get kicked out.
God is so good, and I pray this page would display His faithfulness whether or not I get the $$.
