From March to March

From March to March: A Conversation with Giants is a video/film project focused on taking a fresh approach to telling the story of the American Civil Rights Movement. The film will allow viewers to experience the Movement through the eyes of the children who participated. Destined to be a powerful documentary series, From March to March will take an in-depth look at what life was like for the youngest participants in the mass meetings, the sit-ins, the marches and the massacres.
This film project will preserve the rich legacy of youth involvement in the modern Civil Rights Movement as well as educate generations on the importance of civic engagement and social action. The documentary will feature group conversations as well as one-on-one interviews with some of the most active, yet unknown participants in the Civil Rights Movement. From March to March will serve as a time capsule filled with first-hand accounts of how it felt to be a child of the Movement and how it now feels to be an adult in post-Obama Black American.  I need funds to provide some travel and food for a breakfast reunion of youth participants during the annual Bridge Crossing Jubilee that will commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Voting Rights Movement.
If everyone who loves me will give just $20 we will reach our goal for the first phase of this project.
