Hey everybody! Most of you may know me as Ayana, Buga, BB or Yanni. I have put together this link to give my brother the proper funeral he deserves.
Christian L. Dawkins was the 17yo middle child of 7 born to Aziza Brumfield. Although Christian was the middle child, blending in wasn’t his style. From a very young age Christian often stood out making sure to leave an impression on everyone he came in contact with. Christian loved 3 things most: Family (and friends), fashion, and being able to make money. At the age of 15/16 he began working at the Black Infant health Program, which provided families with resources to properly care for their children. Unfortunately, Christian hit a bit of a rough patch and was arrested and spent 10 months at Camp Sweeney. Christian was determined to not fall victim to stereotypes of young black men. Christian obtained a job at Camp Sweeney Cafe and was able to work toward an early release. Upon his release he was able to finish high school and received his High school Diploma through the County of Alameda and planned to continue his education at San Francisco State University. Christian began working at Training Grounds Cafe inside the Oakland Airport, where his infectious personality and strong work ethic allowed him to quickly move up to a supervisor position. Christian was working hard to make sure he stayed on the right path and made a name for himself as being responsible, and dedicated.
On Saturday July 19th our family learned that Christian tragically and unexpectedly lost his life to a gunshot wound to his head. The services for this bright young soul are planned for Friday, August 1st at 1pm fuller funerals 46th and international Oakland ca.This is where the family needs your help! His mother Aziza Brumfield and eldest sister Ayana Brumfield have raised close to $2000, but there's is still much more needed to ensure Christian has a proper home going. Anything you can do to help the family out is greatly appreciated.
