Pateros Apple Pie Jamboree Relief Fund

Pateros is a small town of less than 700 people in Eastern Washington that sits along the Columbia River. On July 17th, the entire town was evacuated when the town was overtaken by a wildfire that left homes burned to the ground, the power infrastructure decimated, and the city water tanks dry.  Over 100 homes were lost in Pateros, Alta Lake and the Lower Methow Valley--many were homes belonging to our friends. And the fire continues to rage on, with zero containment.

To add insult to injury, the third weekend in July is Pateros's community festival, the Apple Pie Jamboree, which raises money to support the local youth.  In 2012, funds from APJ provided grants for Pateros 5th Grade Seattle Center Trip, Pateros Band Uniforms, Pateros FFA Fair support, Pateros Fire Dept. Kids Fundraisers, Dollars For Scholars, Pateros Ski Program, Pateros Swim Program, Pateros Youth Baseball, and Pateros Wrestling. This year, not only will there be no APJ income, but the APJ Association, which is a Non-Profit Charity that is registered with the state, has been left with debts associated with the festival that it will not be able to recoup.

It is my hope that this Go Fund Me campaign will be able to provide the needed financial boost, and more importantly, moral boost that this community needs right now.  Please join me in supporting the youth of Pateros and the Lower Methow Valley and make a contribution to the Pateros Apple Pie Jamboree Relief Fund.  

All funds received will go directly to the Apple Pie Jamboree Association.
