In Memory of our friend Andrew Albert

As most of you are already aware, our community suffered an incalculable loss this past weekend with the sudden and unexpected passing of our friend and cohort, Andrew Albert. To say that we were collectively caught off guard by this tragedy is the epitome of understatement. Andrew was a stand-up comedy road warrior of the Old School. He traveled East, West, Far North and back again, playing every kind of room, from the most “intimate” venue to some beautiful, legendary theatres. There will be a series of comedy shows across Canada in tribute to Andrew’s life and memory. For those of you who are unable to attend the events and wish to pay their respects may do so by directly contributing to this GoFundMe fundraiser. Proceeds will be donated to the MissionOldBrewery, a Montreal-based charity that does a lot of great ground-level work for that city’s homeless population and/or to help support Andrew's family.
