We all know and love Martha so much, she’s always that smiley face behind the bar keeping us laughing with her shit jokes!

Well Martha’s cat Etta has been really sick, she’s had to spend some time in langford for a stay, two ultrasounds and two blood transfusions, she’s now on a trail medication to treat immune resistant anaemia, because she’s not producing enough red blood cells. This is a rare condition which will have to be medicated for life. The current vet bill stands at around £5400 with costs ever increasing. Thankfully she does have insurance which hasn’t been confirmed yet but should cover approximately £4000 of the current bill, we are hoping. The trial medication seems to be going well with a check up and bloods next week to confirm but vets bills are insane right now.

Martha was really resistant to me fundraising for Etta because of the current climate we are in but we would all offer to buy her a pint, so instead please can you spare a pint for lovely little Etta!

Update!

Firstly thank you so much Martha is so grateful to all of you and overwhelmed by your generosity!

Etta went to the vets for bloods last week, the results show an increase in her red blood cells which is good but whatever is attacking them is still doing so. This means continue on the meds and check again in a month.

The insurance has said it will pay £3,700 of the bill which is slightly less than hoped, leaving a bull of approximately £1,700 for Martha to pay!
