Buy food for hungry families in Colombia

We hope you are all safe and doing well.
We are living in difficult times all across the globe due to the Covid 19 outbreak and as many of you know, here in Colombia there is rampant poverty and a large portion of the population people live day to day, meaning what they earn that day buys the food for their family that night.
There are hundreds of thousands of people here who have not been able to work and have no food for their family and will not be allowed to work again in the foreseeable future. Due to this, we are trying to do what we can to help in these difficult times. That is why we have started this GoFundMe page.
We are working with a lovely group of volunteers called "ayudanos a ayudar" roughly translated to Help us help. Together we are trying to get markets out to these families in need.
We know that everyone across the globe is struggling but in different ways and different levels. So we ask you to help us help others. So for those of you able to donate please do. It would be an amazing help. You can also share this publication with your friends. Every dollar counts. All of the money donated will be used to buy food that will go to low/no income hungry families.
We hope those of you who have come to Colombia enjoyed your time here and remember the beautiful people that you met and made your experience memorable. We also understand that many of you may be struggling as well and we hope that we all get through this together.
For those of you who are on a budget, it doesn’t have to be much, with one dollar we can buy two bags of rice. So please give if you can, even a dollar or two, do it! We appreciate anything you can spare. And for those who are able to give more, we encourage it!
As an added bonus and incentive for donations, we have decided to conduct a contest among all those who donate, no matter how small or large your contribution is. The winning donor will win ONE FREE TRIP on one of our ships for when we are operational again.

Esperamos estén seguros en casa y les este yendo bien.
Estamos viviendo tiempos difíciles en todo el mundo debido a la propagación del virus COVID 19. y como muchos de ustedes sabrán, aquí en Cartagena, Colombia, gran porcentaje de la población vive del día a día, esto significa que lo que ganan ese día, lo usan para comprar la comida de esa misma noche.
Son miles las familias que se han visto afectadas por la cuarentena quedado sin trabajo, por ende, sin nada que comer y no podrán volver a trabajar hasta que la crisis del virus termine.
Es por este motivo que hemos comenzado esta página de GoFundMe.
Estamos trabajando con el grupo de voluntarios “Ayudados a Ayudar” recolectando fondos para la compra de mercados de alimentos y de esta forma poder distribuirlos en los barrios y familias más necesitadas.
Entendemos que esta crisis afecta al mundo, pero no a todos por igual.
Por eso, si está en tus manos poder ayudarnos a ayudar donando o compartiendo esta publicación entre tus amigos, un granito de arena hace siempre la diferencia!
El dinero que recolectemos será utilizado exclusivamente para comprar mercados de alimentos y entregarlos a todas las familias de bajos recursos que estén pasando hambre en estos momentos.
Esperamos que todos los que han visitado Colombia hayan disfrutado su estadía y recuerden a las hermosas personas que conocieron e hicieron que su experiencia sea única! Deseamos de todo corazón que entre todos podamos superar esto de la mejor forma posible.
