Cindi's medical journey

Donation protected
Cindi has fought many obstacles the last several years as she developed chronic pancreatitis in 2008 after having her second child. She never gave up and ended up finding herself at University of Chicago hospital where she had a major surgery to remove her total pancreas. Since then she has continued to deal with health issues making it a struggle to be a mother, wife and nurse. She is now a brittle diabetic and deals with constant nausea and stomach issues due to the damage the panceatitis and surgery caused. As her family thought her battles were getting better she started having seizures in November 2013 and due to this the doctors discovered a benign hemangioma on her brain. Her headaches have continued to get worse and seizures continue preventing her to work or be alone with her children. This last week her family has learned she has to have a total craniotomy to have this mass removed. Obviously with all these health concerns it has put a financial strain on her. Anything to help this family overcome this surgery and get Cindi the supervision and help needed to help her once again become a wife and mother would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you for your support

UPDATE: On July 29 Cindi had her first craniotomy to remove the hemangioma. She was healing well until September 7 she ended up back in the hospital with a brain abscess and CSF leak. She went another craniotomy September 8 to remove infected skull pieces and was sent home on IV antibiotics for six weeks. There will have to be another surgery in the next couple months to replace the infected bone with a synthetic one. Cindi is so appreciative of all the prayers during this setback but stays positive she will get better!!! Thanks for the support from all:)
