Welcome

We are a group of 3rd year film students at AFDA Cape Town and BUTTON EYES is going to be our final graduation project, and the most important element of our bachelor degree.

Button Eyes is a comedy about Alex who suddenly needs to grow up fast and take responsibility, when he finds out he is going to be a father. How is he going to reach his dream about becoming a great musician when father duty calls? And why does that stupid teddy bear constantly have to remind him about the baby?

Button Eyes is a funny story with an important topic that we are looking forward to tell our audience. To be able to do this we need to fund the last part of the production and we hope for your help.

We hope to raise a minimum of NOK 7 000/R 11 000 to be able to make Button Eyes with the quality it deserves.

NOK 7 000/R 11 000 gives us the opportunity to enhance the quality and aesthetics of the film through set dressing and camera equipment.
R 3000 will go to the rent of our main location.
R 3000 will go to a very needed upgrade of our camera package, including lights and lenses.
R 2000 will go to set dressing elements to make the environment in the film interesting, colorful and believable.
R 3000 will go to music design and declaration fees.

If we manage to reach our dream goal of kr 10 000/R 17 000, all extra money will be spent to enhance the set design, costumes and sound design even more + help us with food and transportation costs through the whole production period of five days.

The help and support we get through this fund raising gives us the opportunity to fulfill our visions for this film. After 3 years of film school we are finally ready to hit the industry. To give us the best start we need Button Eyes to reach its potential quality so that we can showcase our talents as filmmakers in our different disciplines. Any money contribution will help us towards this goal as we need equipment and tools to do so.
