Buttercup's Recovery Fund
Donation protected
My name is Courtney and I have recently taken 8 year old Buttercup on as my full time fur baby.
Until recently, Buttercup was living with my ex partner and father of my 2 young children. Buttercup was very close with him and has never really had to spend time on her own.
Buttercup's Dad took his life almost 10 months ago and I was more than willing to take her in as she is and has been a big part of mine and my girls' lives. I made a promise to look after her.
This beautiful Staffy X witnessed some terrible things and was also trapped in the house for days before help arrived. She tore off some nails trying to escape. As a result she suffers from trauma and anxiety when left on her own or inside, and will manage to jump a 6ft fence or scratch through doors and windows in order to escape.
Her age, together with ongoing escape attempts, has left her with a knee injury that needs urgent attention. The cost of surgery is out of reach so we are trying hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and supplements to try to get her moving safely again.
I do not have pet insurance or a plan in place as I did not expect to have her in my care, so I am asking for help so I can give our girl the quality of life that she deserves.
Any left over funds will go towards her medications for anxiety, and follow up vet appointments.
Thank you in advance. Asking for help is not an easy thing to do but our girl needs this.
